A Savior Is Born

264b1a986c554fef8060dca0fa799eb1--christmas-jesus-christmas-nativityOn Christmas Eve, 1992, I wrote my first-ever Christmas song. It was during an extremely  productive period of my life, where God was blessing me with a new song practically every day. Because of the time of the year, my creativity turned toward the reason for the season, and this song, “A Savior Is Born”, was the result.

I remember thinking at the time that it would be cool to someday put together an album of original Christmas music. That thought became reality in the fall of 2007 when I wrote and recorded the “Fresh Hope” album, of which this song is a part.

This song is simply a heartfelt song of praise to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who came to earth as a baby, lived a sinless life as a human being, became the perfect sacrifice for our sins, and rose again, conquering death once and for all! Praise the Savior, and enjoy this little song!

Lyrics:

Into the world a Savior is born
To save us all from sin
The quest for eternal life
Here is where it begins

A Savior is born to dwell among
The ones he would later save
And when he dies, they won’t realize
Eternal life he gave

Into the world a Savior is born
To save us all from sin
The quest for eternal life
Here is where it begins

A Savior is born to dwell among
The ones he would later save
And when he dies, they won’t realize
Eternal life he gave

Praise the Savior! Praise the Lord!
Praise the King Almighty!
Praise the Savior! Praise the Lord!
Praise the King Almighty!

Amen!
