A Poem for my Bride

Me with my soul-mate. Happy Anniversary to us!

23 years ago today, I married Meloney, the woman that God has given me to love for the rest of my life.

While reflecting back on my married life, I got inspired, so here is a little something poetic:

At First Glance

At first glance, I didn’t see it.
I noticed you, but I didn’t see
that you were looking back.
I saw your beauty and I immediately
felt completely out of my league.

We loved each other as friends first.
We cared for one another,
and cheered each other on.
We enjoyed being together,
but we knew it could be better,
so we took the chance
and now, here we are.

After all these years,
I still can say
“I love you now more than ever before.”
1 + 1 + 1 is 3: God, You, and me.
That is how it will always be.

I’ve spent half my life by your side,
and I look forward to the other half
as we grow, even more in love, together.

I love you. ALWAYS.
