About The Adventures

I am a man with many, MANY interests. Many interests means many adventures, and what better way to share those adventures than with a blog?

I am a musician, songwriter, and recording studio guy, so sometimes the adventures involve “talking shop” about all the advances in technology or different methods of production and composition. I am also a poet, so you will often see poetry and song lyrics that I write. This blog also serves as my “Latest News” page for my main website (www.ericgwin.com), so any news about concert appearances and new releases is usually posted here.

I have been married for 26 years to the lovely Meloney and we have 6 kids, so sometimes the adventures will revolve around family stuff. I’m also an avid reader, so there are adventures there, too.

I am a music-lover with an affinity for “old-school” musical items like turntables, vinyl records, CDs (now considered “old school” by the current generation!), music stores, vintage recording equipment, and music from the previous century. I enjoy almost every genre of music, and I have a collection of records, CDs, and tapes that would probably rival some music stores.

Most importantly, I am a follower of Jesus Christ and missionary, and I can’t help but share those adventures with you. I believe that we are all gifted by God in some way, and I live by the philosophy that if I’m not using my life to make someone else’s life better, then I am wasting my time.
