Keeping My Distance

Have you heard the new single yet?

“Keeping My Distance” is the first official single from the new album (to be released later this year). This song also represents the first new original music that I’ve put out there since 2017’s Time & Place album. Wow! It’s been awhile!

The title of this song and it’s cover art were inspired by the whole “social distancing” thing we were all doing back in 2020. But that’s as far as the “COVID/ Pandemic” connection goes.

This is really a relationship song about giving someone the space and time to make their own decisions and mistakes.

I have found in my experiences with relationships, especially as a parent, that there’s no way I can control everything, regardless of how “right” I am. Sometimes it is best to inform others that I love them and I’m always here for them when they need me (and they WILL need me sooner or later!).
